Mock Macaroni for pesach

3lg egg
3 1/2 cup farfel
1/2 lb cheddar cheese diced
1 cup milk or half and half
1tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1pt sour cream
1/2 cup butter cut into 16 pats

1. beat 2 eggs well and pour over farfel.
2. beat remaining egg, stir in milk, salt and pepper and set aside.
3. in buttered 2 qt oblong casserole, layer 1/2 farfel, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 butter. repeat with the remainder. then pour on milk mixture.
4. cover and bake in preheated 350 oven for 30 minutes. uncover and bake for 10 to 15 minutes to brown. cut into squares and serve immediately.

*i definitely do not use all the butter. i also sometimes make the night before, but bake it in the morning, before lunch.
